Our Intro Course is essential if you want to start training with us. It gives us a chance to coach you through every lift and movement you will be doing at Connect in order to keep you safe and help you progress the fastest.
OUR INTRO COURSE INVOLVES:
3 x one hour foundation classes over the course of a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30 or 20:00 and Saturdays at 11:00.
The foundation classes cover everything you need to know to start CrossFitting with us safely and effectively. We cover the background of CrossFit, why it is so effective, the 10 main barbell lifts, mobility drills to help you achieve the necessary flexibility to perform at your best, the main gymnastic and bodyweight exercises, the additional CrossFit movements such as wall balls, kettlebell swings and box jumps and a WOD (workout of the day) at the end of the class to help us gauge your current levels. You will also learn the lay out of the whiteboard, what our scaling levels mean and make some friends too!
A 'Beginners Guide to CrossFitting at Connect' that includes a checklist of movements that we will cover, a dictionary of CrossFit lingo and a brief guide to eating well.
After you have completed your Intro course you will then take out one of our main memberships and gain access to our timetable.
