Nutrition & recipes: It's PANCAKE DAY!

You don't need to miss out and this a great opportunity to get some protein in. Firstly, if you haven't been and bought some protein powder yet, go and buy some! I know most people think, 'I'm not a bodybuilder, why would I buy protein powder'? Well if you are struggling to hit your protein goal, theres your answer. Especially, if you have a job where time is an issue.

So, here's a couple of protein pancake recipes that are super simple to make and really tasty.


INGREDIENTS 1/4 cup raw oats 1/4 cup cottage cheese 1/2 scoop protein powder 1/2 cup egg whites

DIRECTIONS 1. Blend all the ingredients until a batter forms. 2. Pour over a hot griddle. 3. Flip when the edges start browning. 4. Serve with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter and top with almonds. 5. You can add a little maple syrup to sweeten

INGREDIENTS 1 whole egg 2 egg whites 1 small ripe banana

DIRECTIONS 1. Mash the banana and crack the eggs in it, stirring until the mixture becomes somewhat homogenized. 2. Heat a greased griddle or frying pan on medium heat and pour about a 2.5-inch wide puddle of batter. 3. Delicately flip the pancake after about 25 seconds or when it browns. The recipe makes 3-4 small pancakes.
